Chess Tournament
The Chemical Engineering Graduate Council held a Chess Tournament on Saturday, February 21st. Paul Matter was the undisputed Chemical Engineering Chess Tournament Champion. The second place finisher was Erik Holmgreen. Paul attributed his success to strong analytical skills and experience.

Intramural Basketball
The Chemical Engineering intramural basketball team has a playoff game this Sunday, February 29th at 6:15 p.m. in Larkins Hall in the Yellow Gym. The department team went undefeated and finished first-place in the regular season. The team plays in graduate/faculty league, and some of their opponents thus far have included students from: Physical Therapy, Department of English, MBA and Medial School. Sunday's opponents have the team name of "Malpractice", so they are probably medical or law students. ChemE team member Clayt Robinson has promised a thrilling game including invigorating warm-up music.
