The Doctorate of Philosophy program in Chemical
Engineering is one of the most rewarding
experience for students seeking to further their
education. The department requires 58 credit hours
in coursework, a Ph.D. Qualifying Exam taken
during the first year, a Candidacy Exam, and a
Ph.D. dissertation. Accordingly, students are also
required to gain teaching experience by helping
faculty in teaching a course for one quarter per
year. The standard Ph.D. program is usually
completed in four to five years. |
