Biographical
Information

Ning Han is an Graduate Research Assistant in the Departments of Chemical and Biomolecular and Biomedical Engineering at the Ohio State University. Ning came here in autumn of 2006. Han completed her master’s courses under  the guidance of Dr. Yao (ChE) at the Zhejiang University in the area of Beta-carotene microspheres. Her major work was the analysis of the effect of the environmental parameters on the stability of Beta-carotene microspheres. Ning is a recipient of  undergraduate excellent dissertation award and students scholarship in Zhejiang University.

Current Work

Ning is investigating the ability of controlled release coatings to improve the biocompatibility of neural prosthesis. Her current efforts are focused on creating composite drug release systems consisting of PLGA microspheres (diameter ~20mm) combined with PEG-PLA polymers to release agents active in the nervous system.
